It is planned that this 4-digit helpline will carry people to all federal, regional, police, legal and other departments.
The Federal Government recently directed the IT Ministry to initiate a national helpline to provide every Pakistani with emergency assistance.
It would be a four-digit number and would be established with the assistance of IT experts and telecommunications experts.
Federal Minister for Information Technology Aminul Haq added:
The people can be called from anywhere via helpline
In case of emergency, from home, a public place, a road, a railway and road or any other place in any area,
This 4-digit helpline can link people with all federal, state, fire, police, police, hospitals, rescue and other emergency and relief services.
In addition, the Minister added that all the officers and staff of all related departments were at the central desk of the helpline. The whole system will be computerised for this helpline.
Initially, it was started in Islamabad, with Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, and Peshawar followed by the aid line. And it will spread through the country in the next step.
